Loving, Chill, Mild-Mannered Meet Drake Ramoray! Drake is an ultra chill love sponge. While not overly keen to play, he prefers scritches and attention. He’ll find a spot to sleep on his own but when snuggle time is in the cards, he is highly affectionate! He’ll dive into your hands for pets repeatedly and will wrap his front paws around your hand while you’re petting him so you can’t get away. He’ll even show off his belly for pets and it’s not a trap! Repeat - it’s not a trap! Drake is so sweet he got along well with a small dog that his foster babysat. Note that being around this sweet boy will make your oxytocin levels surge and heart swell with love. Proximity may also cause an intense case of heart eyes and squeeing (individual reactions may vary). When Drake came to us his teeth were bothering him. Our vets decided it was best to remove them. Now, he's feeling great, he just needs wet food vs dry. Like many kitties, the shelter was a scary and stressful place for Drake. He needed a little time in his foster home before he felt safe and blossomed into a sweet biscuit maker galore! If you’re patient while he becomes comfortable in his new space, it will be so rewarding to see how happy he is once he feels safe and brave enough to ask for cuddles! His foster calls him “1000% lover boy” because he just has so much love to give. Once he’s settled in, he’s so chill that he’d probably fit into any home just fine and would make an excellent companion. This little orange guy has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Drake can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about Drake’s care. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Drake Ramoray, please email adopt@austinpetsalive.org.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Drake Ramoray, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
