My story

The name Adara is Hebrew in origin, meaning “majestic,” “noble” and “beauty”. We can see how our sweet pup Adara got her name; she is a regal, gorgeous gal with a noble air about her! But don’t let that fool you- she doesn`t care about social class! All she cares about is finding a loving home with a kind and gentle family!Adara is a courageous pup who came into the shelter seemingly without much experience with loving human touch. She was quite shy, but her volunteer friends share that she is also very sweet and she warms up with patience and kindness. One volunteer friend said:“Adara is gentle and dainty. She`s shy but sweet and learning that petting is nice.”“This little lady is really sweet. Adara is gentle and easy to handle. Walks ok on her own to a yard, and gains confidence with her kennelmate by her side. Both of them had a great time running around. It`s nice to see her happy and relaxed.”“I worked with Adara today and was happily surprised at improvements she has made since just a few weeks ago. She is still nervous of being in a busy shelter environment, but we walked slowly to the park where she allowed me to pet her continually for a while. This very sweet girl will make a lovely companion is a quiet home. She is very endearing.”During a brief adoption Adara got a taste of life in a home. She seemed to be potty trained and indicated when she needed to go outside, and she was working on crate training. Adara will need a patient family who can help her feel safe when left home alone. Adara shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been social and easygoing when meeting other dogs on playgroup. If you’re someone who likes to take your time getting to know people and pups, a “trust the process” kinda person who knows that great things can come from a bit of patience, Adara may be the perfect girl for you! Come meet her today!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt ADARA*, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
