My story

Landry is the king of snuggles. Truly, no other foster dog has ever come close to how snuggly Landry is, according to his foster mom. He would be very happy to just cuddle on the couch or in bed all day. Wouldn't we all! Fortunately for him he is a dog and has no responsibilities unlike us humans, and he takes full advantage of that fact. He is the most chill couch potato, it's shocking to realize he's only seven months old! Of course he's also got a playful side and he loves playing chase and wrestling with his favorite canine foster sister, or with his foster mom if his sister isn't available. He's the type of pup who, once he has a person, he is 100% all about loving that person and sticking by them forever. You will never meet a more loyal pup. Landry is also a master of quirkiness: he has successfully managed to catch his own tail and loves chasing himself in circles. He also loves routines like getting a treat for laying down on his bed while his human is busy; he's so smart and picks up on patterns like that very quickly. He's also very, very treat motivated and a dream to train. Every day is an adventure in discovering more funny little quirks and "Landryisms" that make this special boy who he is. He's also been incredible with the resident cats, even when his foster sister likes chasing them, he just jogs along and boops the cats with his nose if they come close. You can tell he'd like to play with them, he just still has to figure out how exactly to do that. He has even met some tiny kittens and just looked at them curiously. No prey drive here! He's perfect on leash and will potty either on leash for walks or unleashed in the backyard and he's been 100% potty trained since he arrived! Landry loves having a fun, confident, playful canine sibling to keep him company when his boring human has to go to work. If his humans are retired or work from home, he could also be fine as a solo dog. He would also love a home that is more on the calm and boring side of things rather than a busy and chaotic home. Young kids are a little too much for this distinguished gentleman. Is this good boy the one for you and your household? Landry is estimated to be 7.5 months old and 19 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events! Please note: All dogs/puppies will not be at every event, and some may find their home prior to the event. If you are interested in a specific animal, please check our Facebook page for confirmed attendance the morning of the event: https://www.facebook.com/safehandsrescue/ You do not need to have a Facebook account to check the Safe Hands Facebook page for attendance. We hope to see you at an upcoming Meet & Greet! Saturday, August 16, 1:00-3:00pm, Elm Creek Brewing; 11469 Marketplace Dr N, Champlin, MN 55316 https://www.facebook.com/events/3938245006488279 Saturday, August 23, 11:00am-1:00pm, The Market at Malcolm Yards, 501 30th Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414 https://www.facebook.com/events/738374835554247
