My story

Meet Tang! This handsome orange floof came to us after being found outside as a friendly stray. Tang has been adopted, and since returned to us for being very shy in his new home. Onsite - Tang was a loveable sweetheart that just wanted someone to pet him and give him a good brush - so we knew something must be going on with this sweet man. After some medical testing we discovered that Tang had been shot! Who could do this to such a sweet boy? Unfortunately, Tang had metal shrapnel in his leg from the shot that could not be removed and had to have his leg amputated. While it's sad, we hope that no longer having a painful leg will provide Tang with some relief, and his foster reports that he is already feeling much better and behaving more like his normal self. We hope that Tang will continue to improve in his new home. Tang has obviously had a very rough start to life, so we're recommending a quiet home, with no other animals, so he can finally be doted on the way he deserves! Tang is one of Yana's Special Felines which means his requested adoption donation has been underwritten and he will be sent home with an individualized starter kit of supplies and other support based on his unique needs. Fill out an application -> thinkingoutsidethecage.org All of our animals are altered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines before being made available for adoption.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tang, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
