My story

Maxx desperately needs a FOSTER HOME!!! Our hearts break for Maxx...the shelter told us that he was 5 years old, he went to the vet once he was in his temp foster home in Texas, they never said anything to us about his age or health concerns. It wasn't until he arrived in PA (at his foster to adopt home) & was taken to the vet because of having lumps that we were informed that Maxx was between the age of 8-10. The vet had to do a biopsy on one of the lumps & the results came back that he has mast cell tumors. Unfortunately, things did not work out at his foster to adopt home & nobody had offered to open their home up to him so he is in boarding. We do not want to see Maxx in boarding & would love to find him at least a foster home where he can be comfortable. Maxx would do great in a home where someone is always there, older kids where they can respect his space & know their boundaries, we can discuss if you have other dogs in the home-preferably 1 dog that is very calm & does not want to be bothered much. Maxx is a loving boy who found himself in need of a second chance when his owner, a single mom, could no longer care for him. Saved from euthanasia at BARC Shelter in Texas, Maxx is now safe and ready to find a family who can give him the love and stability he deserves. If you would like more information on this sweet boy please reach out to us! 🐾 **Adoption fee can be discussed

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Maxx, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
