What Athena's foster family has to say about her!: She is a good girl. She is potty trained. She will whine a little at you when she needs to go outside. If you're not getting the hint, she will start barking at you. She is strong and likes to run when you first take her out for a walk. I'm not a runner at all so any amount of running is too much for me & she can certainly outrun me. She can be very playful & enjoys a good tug of war game. Usually at least once or twice a day she wants to play. If you don't get her hints, she will let you know and start barking at you. You will know when she wants or needs something! She will whine or bark at you (& I mean looking at you). It may just be that she's ready to go to bed for the night. She sleeps all night. She normally sleeps in bed with one of us but sometimes wants her own space and will go out on the couch by herself. She sounds pretty “vicious” when playing but has never been aggressive. If she gets too wound up, she's a good listener & will calm down when you set her straight. She would like nothing more than to join in on a good game of basketball with the neighbor kids, but if she gets a hold of the ball, it’s game over. She can pop a basketball in 1.5 seconds flat! Athena is content doing whatever you are doing. She love, love, loves going on car rides. She does seem to get pretty drooly in the car. We have never kenneled her. We did have a kennel setup for her the first month & she wanted nothing to do with it. After a few weeks, she would go in the kennel to get toys & then right back out. We have left her home alone for up to one hour with no issues. She enjoys getting a hold of an empty water bottle or empty pop bottle & can get the caps off those in no time. We have never had issues with her chewing anything she shouldn't. She did great when we gave her a bath.
