My story

Hi there, I’m Mighty Max – but you can call me Max, Maxi, Sir Max-a-Lot, or even “The Most Polite Boy in Colorado.” I’m a 9-year-old senior gentleman with the soul of a golden retriever, the face of a teddy bear, and the emotional depth of a poet. I’ve been with my foster family for six months now, and they say I’m an exceptional house guest — calm, polite, loving, and only a little obsessed with soft furniture and long walks. Let me paint you a picture: You. Me. A window. I gently rest my head in your lap while we people-watch and silently judge squirrels. I don’t bark much, don’t chew anything I shouldn’t, and I’ve never met a couch I didn’t love. I’m crate-trained, but you don’t need to lock me up — I’ve earned free-roam privileges because I’m that trustworthy. I’m fully housetrained, crate-trained (though I don’t need it), and totally chill being home alone. I don’t chew stuff I shouldn’t, and I’ll never wake you up too early… unless it’s walk o’clock. I’d do best as your one-and-only pup — I’m a little picky with other dogs and can get protective of my favorite humans. I’m also working on being less nervous around men and surprise visitors, but I’m getting braver every day. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-maintenance sidekick with a big heart and soft fur, I just might be your guy. Let’s meet — I’ve got a spot on the couch saved just for you. ##2290715##
