My story

JulietHow do you do? I am a lovely 14-years-old Calico cat. In my opinion, way too old to be surrendered to HSHC on January 17. I have lived with one family for all 14 years, 7 years with one branch and 7 years with another. When I was 1-year-old, all four of my paws were declawed! Ouchy McOucherson! This is probably why I now have arthritis pain in my hips and lower back. The medical staff gave me medicine to relieve the pain and told me I needed to lose weight. Almost 14 pounds puts too much pressure on my feet, back, and hips. I`ve always used the litterbox faithfully until about a month ago. Most likely, my owner did not know that having a litterbox with a top opening or high sides is just too difficult for me to climb into or out of. A low-sided litterbox with soft, fine-grained litter will be much easier and less painful. In September, we moved to a new apartment. The neighbors are extremely noisy during the day! I prefer a calm, quiet, peaceful environment. My owner reported that I am a very affectionate girl; I like to play and be held. When the interviewer lady stopped by, I was dozing in my Kasa, so when I woke up, I gave her a reluctant smile. I let her pet my head and enjoyed playing with the toy she was flipping around my paws. I am naturally somewhat reserved with strangers. But once I get to know you, I`m a love-bug. 2-10-25
