My story

Violet is a gentle soul searching for a patient and loving home to call her own. This 4-year-old, 51-pound American Pit Bull Terrier mix has endured hardships no dog should face, including the frightening experience of being tazed while loose on the streets—not due to aggression, but rather a misjudgment. Despite her past, Violet has a kind and tender heart. Understandably shy, she takes time to trust new people, but with patience and a soft approach, she begins to blossom, offering sweet tail wags as a sign of her growing comfort. Violet is well-mannered on a leash, allowing herself to be harnessed without issue and walking calmly by other dogs. She’s not shown signs of reactivity, making her a wonderful potential companion for a household willing to help her build confidence. This hidden treasure is waiting for a special person or family to give her the love and security she deserves. Violet’s adoption fee of $225 covers spaying, vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
