My story

Meet Amalthea. Or as she’s known on the streets (and by "streets" we mean the blanket shelf), The Meatball. She’s plump. She’s proud. She’s been here longer than any other cat — and she’d like to know why, frankly. Have you seen this level of loaf perfection? This is not your average cat. This is a full-on, sofa-certified, snack-powered queen who’s ready to retire from shelter life and run your household with exactly the right amount of sass and snuggle. Her hobbies include: Supervising ping pong ball chaos like a tiny sports coach with no real sense of the rules. Snoozing on a luxurious throne made of blankets like royalty waiting for her grapes (or Churu treats). Telepathically detecting the treat cart from across the building even while in a deep nap with one leg in the air. Don’t be fooled by her loaf-like exterior — she’s secretly a genius. Put a puzzle feeder in front of her? Solved. Sliding treat game? She’ll crack the code before you finish saying “good girl.” And if the prize is food? Consider it already eaten. She doesn’t discriminate between goo treats or crunchy ones. If it’s edible, it’s eligible. Amalthea prefers to spend most of her day living her best chill life, but if you're down for a movie marathon, a little game of "human drops all the toys," or solving crimes together (like why the treat bag is empty), she’s your girl. So if your couch is cold, your snack time is lonely, and your heart needs a 12-pound cuddle boss who doubles as an alarm system for treat openings, Capeesh? Call the shelter. Ask for The Meatball.
