My story

Meet Silly. She’s a bit of an enigma — a cat with a plan, if you will. A cat who knows her worth. A cat who might be your best friend… but only if you earn it. Silly’s not here for any of that “instant love” nonsense. No, no — she’s more of a "slow burn" kind of gal. Sure, she’ll occasionally roll over, paw at you, and give you that look that says, “I guess you’re not completely useless.” But you’ll have to work for her affection like you’re auditioning for a role in her one-cat Broadway show. Think: “Cat Gone With The Wind” meets "The Purrfect Lover.” And let’s talk about her treat obsession, shall we? Silly loves treats more than some people love their morning coffee. When it’s snack time, she’s ready. And if you're lucky, she’ll give you a performance worthy of an Oscar: rolling, pawing, and gently reminding you that she’s the reason you bought those snacks in the first place. While Silly prefers to keep to herself most of the time, she does occasionally let her guard down, especially if there’s a ping-pong ball or a treat involved. But don't even think about trying to give her cuddles without permission. She’ll tolerate it, but don't expect her to be your cuddle buddy unless she feels like it — and that, my friend, is a privilege. Having been around kittens before, Silly’s got experience in dealing with younger cats, and she’s totally okay with sharing her space with them. In fact, a home with playful kittens or younger cats who understand her “I need my space, but not too much space” vibe would be the perfect setting for her. She might even teach them how to properly work a treat dispenser (don’t worry, she’s not a monster — she’ll share, eventually). Silly’s ideal home: Kittens or younger cats who understand the fine art of “asking for permission” Someone who can respect her boundaries but isn’t afraid to earn her affection A treat cupboard with lots of variety (she’s a connoisseur, after all) So, if you’re looking for a cat who’s mysterious, independent, and low-key adorable (but only when it suits her), Silly might just be the one for you. But be warned: she’s not a “stage five clinger.” She’s more of a “stage five detective” who will make you prove your loyalty first. Ready for the challenge?

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Silly, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
