My story

Meet Neoul🧡 She was brought to Koren City Shelter in April 2022 and gave birth to five puppies in June the same year. The shelter’s environment was unsuitable for a nursing mother and her newborns especially during the sweltering summer, so they were rescued. Thanks to Neoul’s excellent care, all five puppies grew up healthy and found their forever families. Neoul herself had got training and is now waiting for her own forever family. * With People: Is not particularly interested in strangers and doesn’t readily approach when called. Opens up more easily to women and takes time to build trust. Relaxes and sleeps soundly around familiar people. * With Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs but doesn’t actively engage in play. Calmly sniffs new dogs but moves on without much reaction. Initiates to play with mid-sized or large dogs. Feels a bit overwhelmed by highly energetic dogs. * With Cats: Becomes excited when she sees cats and shows a strong desire to chase them. While this can result in pulling on the leash, she eventually listens to her handler’s guidance. * Separation Anxiety: Does well alone, entertaining herself with toys or snacks and waiting patiently for her family to return. Occasionally, she whines when she hears sounds outside that she associates with her owners. * Potty Training: Is 100% outdoor potty trained and prefers to do her business outside. * Grooming and Hygiene: Does not like baths, drying, and tooth brushing, so these require a calm and reassuring environment with door closed. Tolerates nail trimming and brushing well. * Walks: Walks in step with a walker nicely on a leash but is timid around loud noises, like car horns or flapping promotional banners. Also gets overly excited when she sees cats or birds, so close attention to the leash is necessary. * Car Sickness: Experiences motion sickness, often drooling heavily and appearing uncomfortable during car rides. * Has mastered the “shake” command. * Occasionally whines to communicate her needs. * Is cautious around unfamiliar noises near the house, growling to express her wariness. Fears loud vehicles, motorcycles, and parking entrances. * Chicken breast causes diarrhea, so this should be avoided being fed.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Neoul, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
