My story

ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 50 lbs ESTIMATED AGE: 1 year KNOWN WITH DOGS: Baby Girl is a playful spirit at heart. She is currently in foster care with 2 other dogs and while they do tolerate her, "BG" doesn't pick up on their social ques when they are done playing. She is just strong willed and persistent and would do well with other dogs who are forgiving to her for that and willing to play. KNOWN WITH CATS: "BG" is living with 2 cats too! It's a full foster house of love. The cats in her foster home aren't exactly thrilled her BG. However as time is moving on BG has accepted that the cats have put their foot down on playing with her so she settles for giving them an occasional lick "kiss" from time to time. THe cats dislike it but have also accepted its this, or playing with her and they don't want to do that. KNOWN WITH KIDS: BG has energy for days! She is a great companion for children, however may do better with older children just due to her energy. KNOWN COMMANDS: Basics: Sit; BG training will always be a work in progress., but she enjoys toys and treats so with the right motivation from her family she will be a quick learner! KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: BG IS crate trained and has exceeded all expectations in that area. Her current fosters do utilize the crate for BG at night time so one of their more nervous cats can roam around with out any BG interruptions. KNOWN LIKES: BG enjoys the great outdoors! She loves being outside, going for walks and playing fetch. She also just enjoys being included in what you are doing and being part of the family. Her favorite things to do in her down time would be to chew on hard toys and being the doggy police against any furry squirrels or birds that enter her yard. KNOWN DISLIKES: We haven't exactly come across much that BG doesn't like. She really is a well rounded dog! If we HAD to pick something, we would say BG doesn't like strangers? She does show a natural protective instinct and isn't afraid to to be the leader on walks or meeting strangers to ensure good vibes/people only coming into her home. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Notes from the foster: Baby Girl "BG" is a really sweet happy dog. She loves everyone in the family (husband, 2 teens and myself). It turns out she is a HUGE ball dog- not sure if that is just innate or fostered by her previous owner? She will fetch and bring it back and drop it, she is also really good at catching things in the air (mostly stuffed animal dog toys!). She LOVES attention and being pet. She has been very curious about things on walks- other people, dogs out walking with their people, but she seems like she is really adjusting pretty easily to what is 'normal' here. She hasn't met any little kids yet though we saw one on a tricycle on a walk and she was not concerned. I think she would be fine, the only concern would be that she does jump on people when she is excited/wants attention so she needs to work on that. Though, she seems pretty smart, I wouldn't be shocked if she learned after one jump that jumping on a small person does not end well for anyone šŸ˜‚. She will bark her guard dog bark if a noise wakes her up unexpectedly, or someone is at the door, but she will just run over and sniff whoever comes in (it has only been our family so far), realize she knows them, and get excited for pets.
