I’m a good mix of energetic and chill, and I’m always up for an adventure, but I also know how to relax when the time’s right. I love to play with other dogs and run around chasing squirrels, but I can be mindful when a dog or cat isn’t as energetic as me. I’m all about the fun—if a dog can keep up with my speedy runs, I’m their new best friend! I’ve met both cats and dogs and get along with everyone, as long as they’re ready to play or at least let me show some love. However, I should be the only dog in the home - I like to soak up the attention all to myself!When I meet new people, I get super excited and interested, but I can be a bit shy at first, so I just take a little time! I would prefer to live in a home with teenagers and older. Young children can be overwhelming if they cannot respect my boundaries. I bond with my people extremely fast, and once we are friends, we are friends for life! I am very people oriented so I always want to be by your side snuggling the day away!I’m perfectly housebroken and am fine left home alone - no trouble here! In fact - here are some things my fosters have said about me “Ashley was truly one of the best Foster’s I’ve ever had, she’s the whole package!” “She was such an easy first foster and it breaks my heart she’s still at the shelter!” “Ashley is the sweetest dog and was a wonderful houseguest”. Wow! I am glad my shelter family loves me so much, I just hope I can get my own someday!Some of my favorite things are long walks, running, and playing with toys or bones. I’m also a champ when it comes to car rides—no whining from me! I’ll just sit quietly, taking in all the sights and smells, and I’m even cool with elevator rides. I love snuggling up and giving kisses when I’m feeling cozy. And let me tell you, I have the cutest snore when I nap!I’m a very playful and energetic pup, but I also enjoy my beauty rest and need a little encouragement to get up in the mornings.
