My story

Meet Lucy Goosey! Lucy is a one-year-old, 55-pound bundle of fun available for adoption in Texas and New England! She is an active, playful girl who loves backyard zoomies, tossing toys around, and hanging out on pup-friendly patios. Lucy is a social butterfly at doggy daycare, consistently earning great notes for being friendly, playful, and the life of the paw-ty! An ideal adventure buddy, Lucy would thrive with an active family that enjoys hiking and road trips — she loves car rides and exploring new places. She’s also great with kids and would enjoy having active kiddos to play and snuggle with. One of Lucy’s cutest quirks is her love for ice cubes. The moment the freezer door opens, she’ll dash from wherever she is to collect her “ice tax” — it’s her favorite little treat! Lucy sleeps peacefully in her crate with the door open, on a cozy dog bed, or snuggled up in bed with her foster family. When they’re away from home, she settles in comfortably on the couch and relaxes until they return. She walks well on a leash, regularly checking in and sitting when stopped. She’s working on her manners and while she sometimes jumps while excited outside, a quick reminder helps her remember to sit politely for attention. Lucy loves toys but will happily collect sticks, rocks, or other treasures found outside if not provided with plenty of appropriate options. Because of her curious, playful nature, she would do best in a home without cats. After a day of fun and activity, Lucy is a world-class snuggler who’s always up for belly rubs and cozy naps next to her people.
