Fezzik

My story

Fezzik is a sweet gentle giant with perfect house manners. He is looking for a cozy, quiet home with adults who appreciate a really well behaved, low-key dog. Great with all the cats in his foster home, he is a bit more selective with dogs and so needs to be the only dog in the home. While Fezzik enjoys indoor life to the fullest, he is also a wonderful walking companion! Fezzik is leash trained and follows verbal cues. Most enthusiastic about long walks when the air is fresh and cool and not too hot, he very much enjoys sniffing out bunny trails (but never chases after bunnies or squirrels). He gets very attached to and is loyal to his caregiver, who he consistently looks to for approval and direction. Highly trainable, Fezzik will flourish in a home where he is getting attention and affection. He obeys basic commands such as No, Come, Go, and Sit, and is eager to learn more. Fezzik is not overly food motivated but he enjoys healthy treats. Fezzik has excellent eyesight and hearing, and unexpected noises startle him (like trains and misfiring cars), and he is afraid of thunder and fireworks. Will you be the lucky one giving this special dog a loving forever home? HISTORY Fezzik was adopted from IAR in December 2021 by a family with young children. As the children got older, their energy and noise level was worrying to Fezzik. He would love to go to a forever home with adult(s). HEALTH Fezzik is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, and heartworm negative. PHYSICAL Fezzik has a rich, shiny black coat with a white blaze on his chest, and tan legs. He has expressive tan "eyebrows."
