My story

Meet Truce, a 3-year-old male dog who is shy yet incredibly loyal. Once he trusts you, he's affectionate and enjoys spending time with his family. Truce loves walks and cuddles and is looking for a loving home where he can feel secure. He would thrive best in a household with older children only who can understand his gentle nature. Experience with shy dogs would be beneficial, as Truce needs a patient owner who can help him come out of his shell and build his confidence. My Borough Breaker wrote:Truce explored Astoria and spent some time relaxing in our home during his BoroughBreak. He was the absolute best boy!! He was a dream at walking on a leash (though he did LOVE spotting squirrels!), had no issues with dogs as long as he was given space to avoid them, was so incredibly gentle and affectionate and had great manners in our apartment. He also had no issues being a passenger in the car. I was very impressed with how attuned he was to us. He paid wonderful attention while out walking and was quick to respond to cues like sit even when he wasn't interested in treats. While he enjoyed the park, he seemed happiest relaxing on the couch snuggling next to me getting head scratches while I read a book.
