My story

Meet this sweet, loving boy Chip who's been nothing short of a cuddle bug since the moment we met! He was found running lose in Georgia and a nice shelter took him in. I've been lucky to look after him these past few weeks! He instantly wrapped me in affection, showering me with kisses and hugs, and he's been an absolute love ever since. Reminding me so much of my late twin brother's dog. He’s truly a gentle, grateful companion who just wants to be close to you. If you’re looking for a calm, sweet dog to shower you with affection, this is your guy! Personality & Characteristics:This pup is the definition of a love bug, eager to put a smile on your face. He has a gentle and kind nature, making him an absolute joy to be around. It’s like he’s always saying “thank you” for every little kindness, and you can’t help but feel how grateful he is for any attention you give him. My foster dog is good with:Other dogs: He’s been very friendly and nice with the dogs he’s met on walks.Kids: Likely would do well with children who understand boundaries.Cats: Unknown, but would likely be okay with a slow introduction. My foster dog is:House trained: Yes!Crate trained: Yes! 3 Keywords for your pup: Sweet, Grateful, Loving Energy Level:I'd say he's a calm and content dog with just the right amount of playfulness. His energy level is around a 4/5 – he's not hyper but definitely enjoys a good walk or cuddle session! Barker? Or Quiet Pup?He’s a quiet pup. He doesn’t bark much and is content to relax or quietly follow you around and be your companion. Walking Manners:He listens well to commands and is learning not to pull. He walks nicely by your side, and we’re working on refining his leash manners even better! Appetite:He eats well and has a healthy appetite. He’s not desperate for food and isn’t protective over it, which makes mealtime easy and stress-free. Does the following:While he’s not a huge fan of baths, he still behaves very well during them. A little patience and he’s all done and ready for cuddles again! Favorite Things:Cuddles, cuddles, and more cuddles! This guy thrives on affection and will happily curl up next to you for a nap or to watch TV. Commands/Tricks:He knows "sit" and "stay" and currently learning lay and is eager to learn more. He’s very responsive to positive reinforcement and is a quick learner. ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States ##2283245##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chocolate Chip, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
