My story

Meet Quidditch! This poor little guy entered Carlsbad Animal Shelter in rough shape: mats all over his body, both ears heavily infected, no teeth, and very long nails. The shelter reached out to us, and we scooped up Quidditch on January 22nd to become a Frosted Face. He is around 12 years old and weighs 8 lbs. We have promised Quidditch a brand new life where he will be treasured as a beloved family member. Might it be with you? Quidditch is a very sweet boy who does well with the other dogs in our play yard, loves to petted and cuddled, and is a great walking buddy. He enjoys our weekly group hikes, has pep in his step, and the stamina to go 3 miles. Quidditch went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn more about him in a home. His Fling Mom reports: "Quidditch became more confident, revealing a personality that’s gentle, intuitive, and incredibly sweet. He’s affectionate without being overly clingy, independent yet deeply attuned to his people. Quiddi adores working with kids! He was completely captivated by my students, even getting concerned when they left, as if making sure they were okay. He taught us so much about himself; here's what we learned. Manners & Training: ✔️ Does not mark ✔️ Tricked us—not fully potty trained (yet!), but we’re working on it ✔️ Not dominant, not a barker ✔️ Navigates stairs and ramps with ease On Walks & With Others: ✔️ Walks beautifully on a leash ✔️ Not reactive to animals ✔️ Coexists peacefully with other dogs ✔️ Great with middle school-aged kids ✔️ Polite and friendly when meeting new people Personality & Play: ✔️ Very curious and investigative ✔️ Loves snuffle mats and puzzle toys ✔️ Treat-motivated (freeze-dried chicken is a favorite!) ✔️ Can be timid at times—needs patience, gentle reassurance, and time to adjust At Home: ✔️ Enjoys napping—sometimes near his humans, sometimes independently ✔️ Not a lapdog, but attentive and open to cuddles ✔️ Zero separation anxiety ✔️ Sweet, mellow, easygoing nature ✔️ No teeth? No problem! Prefers dry kibble over wet food ✔️ Takes pills easily (cheese-flavored pill pockets for the win!) 🧙‍♂️ Miscellaneous Perks: ✔️ Loves walks, naps, yard time, and car rides ✔️ Minimal to no shedding" Little Quidditch currently lives in a Foster home while he waits for his forever family. Might that be you? To meet this very special boy, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Quidditch, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
