My story

Harlem is completely house trained and knows how to sit. She is very sweet and snuggly with me and my husband. She doesn't mind having her paws and ears touched, and she loves chin scritches. Harlem loves squeaky toys, rawhides and her snuffle mat, and she likes being outside and smelling everything. She loves playing tug-of-war. She plays fetch, but after a little bit she just wants to prance around and show off her ball, which is adorable. Harlem has not met our dogs yet, but she gets anxious and whines when she hears them. She has previously been reactive toward other dogs. She has not been aggressive toward people, and it seems like she really enjoys our company and attention. She would love a home with multiple people, or one person who can spend a lot of time with her - I work from home, and she is almost always right next to me. She'd be a great buddy for tween or teen kids; she is still a little rough around the edges and might be too much for little ones. Although she cannot be near other animals right now, Harlem is absolutely not a bad dog; she is a good dog who has had a very hard time. She needs a home that will make her feel safe and take time to slowly acclimate her to other dogs and/or make sure she isn't around other dogs. She is a perfect low-maintenance only dog. She likes being active a few times a day, and then relaxing for a good chew and a nap in between. She's a good couch buddy and doesn't hog the bed.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Harlem Shake, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
