My story

Meet NYX – a shy soul with a heart full of potential. 🖤🐾At just 1 year old and weighing 53 lbs., Nyx is a gentle pup who's still learning to navigate the world with confidence. Transferred from another shelter, he’s now looking for a fresh start in a calm, patient home where he can feel safe and supported. Nyx may be timid at first, but once he builds trust, his sweet personality starts to shine. He walks wonderfully on leash and becomes a loyal, affectionate companion when given time and space to adjust. Though he’ll need a slow, gentle approach, the bond you’ll build with Nyx is one worth waiting for. He’s shown that he can do well with both dogs and cats, though proper introductions and supervision are always recommended. Because of his sensitive nature, a home with children 12 or older would be the best fit. Adopting Nyx means opening your heart to a dog who just needs a little extra time—and in return, you'll gain a quiet, loving friend for life.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Nyx, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
