My story

Hi, my name is Adkins, and I’ve been waiting here at the Humane Society for over a year and a half. I’ve watched so many dogs come and go, their tails wagging as they leave for their new homes, while I stay behind, still hoping for my forever family to find me. I’m a little over 40 pounds—a small-medium dog with a big heart, just waiting to be loved.I get along really well with other dogs and have made lots of friends here. I’ve shared my kennel with different buddies, and we always have a great time. I love going for walks, exploring new scents, and just taking in the world around me. But most of all, I’m pretty chill. I’m past that bouncy puppy phase, and I really just want a quiet, cozy home to call my own.I dream of a calm, loving household—someone who’s looking for a loyal companion to share peaceful moments with. I promise I’ll be your best friend, soaking up every bit of love and pets that I’ve missed. I’ve been waiting a long time, but I know my perfect person is out there somewhere.
