My story

Meet Toulouse! He’s confident, curious, playful, and always ready to mingle. Whether he’s playing tag with his best buddy Jelly Roll or following his favorite humans around the house, Toulouse brings endless fun and love wherever he goes. When he’s not in play-mode, he’s a total cuddle bug who loves napping in cozy, warm spots, even better if a heating pad is involved. But don’t be fooled—his playful side always comes back, and he’s never met a toy he didn’t love! While wand toys are a favorite, Toulouse is more than happy to turn anything into a fun plaything, from shoelaces to crinkly paper. Toulouse and Jelly Roll met in their foster home, and while Jelly Roll was a little shy at first, Toulouse's playful, outgoing nature helped Jelly Roll come out of his shell, and now the two of them do everything together! They are nap buddies, wrestling partners, playmates, and even eat their meals side-by-side. They bring out the best in each other and would love to find their new home together. Toulouse has had a rough start to his young life, giving him some real challenges. He was born with a congenital abnormality in his colon that causes him some inconsistent “plumbing problems”. He is on medication to help with this, and it improves things a great deal and he uses his litter box like a champ. Toulouse also lives with calicivirus, which causes him to experience respiratory infections on and off. You can tell he is having a flareup when he gets congested. Despite this, Toulouse is very resilient and doesn’t let his challenges stand in the way of a good time. Jelly Roll accepts Toulouse just the way he is, and their bond brings comfort and companionship to both of them. If you are looking for an awesome pair of cats and have had experience caring for cats with medical conditions, Toulouse and Jelly Roll are so worth the effort. We love this little duo, and know they would bring so much love and joy to their new family. They really deserve a special home.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Toulouse, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
