My story

Hey there, I’m Chino—senior by age, puppy by attitude, and proud member of the Hidden Gems Club! Don’t let the gray hairs fool you—I’ve got enough energy to chase toys, dance for treats, and still have gas left in the tank for a cuddle marathon. Whether it squeaks, bounces, or just looks vaguely chewable, I’m game. One of my favorite activities is going on sniff walks where I take my time, catch up on the local scents, and live my best explorer life. When I see someone I love (or someone holding snacks), I break into my signature happy tap dance—it's part greeting, part celebration, all heart. The staff and volunteers adore my affectionate, goofy charm and say I’ve never met a stranger. If you’re looking for a joyful, loving companion who still knows how to party and snuggle, I’m your guy.
