When you meet Sage for the very first time, there is not even going to be whole minute that goes by before you find yourself completely smitten and head over heels for this baby. Sage is one of those "soul" type of dogs that has such an innocence and sweetness about them that you would do anything to make them happy. You can tell she has so much love to give just by the way the looks up at you with those beautiful gold brown eyes of hers. Watch her video and be completely captivated by this sweet girl: https://youtu.be/1DxHpKAgMJA?si=nyt5WWSjzm63gaaj Sage is a pittie mix approximately 1.5 years old and weighs 55 lbs fully grown! y'all, she is tiny! She is perfect size, not too big and not too small. The perfect size for lap and couch cuddles, and still the perfect size if you want to be able to say that you have a big dog as well. She's the best of both worlds. Sage is very dog friendly and has made friends with such a wide variety of different types of dogs and sizes. She has been in a foster home with up to 9 dogs, some even being as small as 12 lbs to as big as 60lbs with no issues. Her calm presence and gentle demeanor helps even the shyest of dogs feel more comfortable and helps them open up. The same can be said about Sage as well. Other calm dogs like herself really help her feel comfortable and safe and help her really blossom like the butterfly she is. Sage is like the missing puzzle piece for you and your dog that you never even knew you needed. Hence the nickname, "Queen of Puppy Love." Her foster jokes about how she is her male dog's new girlfriend. Sage has a playful side to her as well and loves to play with other dogs. She has what we call a more "gentle and dainty" type of play style where she doesn't like to play super rough and likes it just right. Not too rough, but also likes to have a good time. She loves to running around in the backyard, playing chase, and the occasional rumble and tumble. She appreciates when other dogs know when to take breaks from playtime and respect her boundaries if play is getting a little too rough and are respectful when she simply just wants to relax. Sage would do be in a home with a back yard and in a slower paced environment that doesn't have all the hustle and bustle of young children running around. She enjoys the peaceful serenity that a calm home provides, which is also perfect for her because Sage is a girly that will need some time to decompress and get use to her new home. You know that saying, “Patience is a virtue,” well that cannot be any more true with Sage. All good things come to those who wait and the love Sage has to offer is so worth it and rewarding. In no time she'll be zooming around in your backyard, playing with the dogs, and having the time of her life. Not only is Sage sweet as a can be but she is has incredible house manners. She is crate trained and potty trained and her foster says that she by far one of the easiest foster's she has ever had. Her heart is as pure as gold and once you’re in her corner, there’s no turning back! She’ll love you like you’ve never been loved before. Sage is your soul dog. We are willing to test Sage with anything you need us to in order to ensure it is a good match. Just let us know! Questions? We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: ● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family ● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test ● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion ● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions ● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription ● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco ● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions ● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer ● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time. https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
