My story

Meet Dorothy our loving shy girl who is obsessed with her toys and her playmates who run endlessly with her! Dorothy is extremely sociable with other dogs but is not afraid to tell them how she feels. When it comes to people, she can be a bit shy and cautious at first but once she gets to know someone, she is very attached! She would definitely classify as a velcro dog with whoever she loves. Dorothy is an extremely smart girl who loves to learn new tricks, practice on agility courses, play with all the toys and take long walks around to smell all the smells. She is relatively good on leash but the world is a scary place for her so she can get a bit scared sometimes. Dorothy is in our Mutts with Manners in facility training program. This program to give our long-term residents more enrichment and a chance to truly shine outside the shelter—showing who they are beyond the cards that they have been dealt. Dorothy is a silver star meaning she has 60% accuracy for basic commands, and is also working on learning more advanced commands.
