My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I am a sweet, social, older gal, looking for the perfect forever home!I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.A volunteer writes: Did Ruby tell you how much she loves flashlights? No? Well, She loves to chase after them. Okay... did she tell you that she loves to snuggle under the covers? She didn't? But she told you her motto, right? "You're as young as you feel!" Ruby says this because she loves to race around the house like a kitten. But no again? She didn't say? Honestly, she didn't tell me any of this either. I read it in her notes which describe a playful, curious, and affectionate kitty who loves to be in the middle of things. Though Ruby is no stranger to a fun time, she's a bit of a stranger to the Care Center life and adapting to it has put this completely charming, young at heart lady in a bit of a bind. We've let Ruby know she's always welcome with us with toys, treats, and pets, but cuddled up in her cubby, Ruby hasn't felt much like coming out to say hello or tell us about herself.
