My story

Meet Chevy! Chevy was surrendered by his owner to Los Angeles Animal Care and Control-Lancaster Shelter for unknown reasons. We scooped this handsome guy up on January 14th to become a Frosted Face. Chevy is 11 years old and weighs 47 lbs. He is a sweet, gentle, easygoing guy who gets along well with other dogs. Chevy has been a wonderful companion on outings with volunteers—whether it's a trip to the beach, a walk in the park, dining at restaurants, or even running errands together! Chevy currently lives in a Foster home, and we’re so grateful he’s receiving the love and care he seems to have not received for years. His Foster Mom shared this heartwarming update: "Sweet Chevy is looking and feeling great! We get the feeling he didn't live a pampered life before. He seemed a little unsure of how to enjoy the indoors at first. Thankfully our spoiled pups were happy to show him the ropes and he was eager to follow their lead. He quickly realized how cozy beds and couches are. One of our dogs taught Chevy to paw if we stop petting him too soon. Another taught him to do what we call the "pibble nibble" with toys. Chevy is a lovebug. His favorite activity is cuddling with people or other dogs. He will happily share his bed with another dog or two of any size. Having close contact and affection brings him bliss. Chevy also loves snacks and naps. He has become a home body! The car is fine for a nap, but Chevy would be just as happy to do that at home. He does need a little help getting in and out, but he's good with that. At the destination he's happy to hang out with his people. His favorite so far was the beach. He had fun exploring, meeting other dogs, watching them play, and then napping. Chevy is definitely among the sweetest and easiest fosters we have ever had. He would love a home with at least one cuddly canine companion." If you have a spot in your heart and home for this deserving boy, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org to schedule a time to meet him!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chevy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
