My story

Meet Tanner, the goofy sweetheart who’s sure to steal your heart! Tanner is a lovable, fun-loving pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s an absolute joy to be around, with a gentle nature that makes him a perfect companion. Tanner walks very well on a leash, always happy to stroll by your side, and he rides great in the car, even hopping in on his own! He’s calm and relaxed during car rides, making him an ideal travel buddy. This charming boy absolutely loves treats and always takes them gently, showing off his polite side. Tanner also has a soft spot for stuffies and enjoys playing with them—watching him toss and snuggle with his toys is sure to bring a smile to your face. Tanner is a quiet dog who has the most endearing piggy snorts, adding to his already adorable charm. He’s very comfortable with handling and enjoys being affectionate. Whether it’s cuddling up for a snuggle or simply sharing a quiet moment, Tanner will make a wonderful addition to any home. If you’re looking for a goofy, affectionate, and loving companion, Tanner is the perfect match! He’s ready to find his forever family and share all his love with you. Tanner has shown to be non-reactive to other dogs. As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
