My story

This is my story - by Clyde: Who would think that the best thing that ever happened to me was coming into an animal shelter? However, it was! My former "home" was not bad. I got fed and petted occasionally. I got to come inside. However, after my "mom" passed away, I stayed mostly outside. When my family could no longer care for us, we were brought to the shelter. There I got the necessary medicines I needed. I was warm, and dry and got food to eat every day. Mostly, I got love and attention from the staff. The person who became my JCAPL foster mom volunteers there and she gave me lots of attention which was wonderful. A whole new world opened up for me once I came to her house. I had beds to sleep in and got wet food twice a day! I have had so much fun playing with the younger foster kittens. My hope for the new year is to become a part of a family that will love me and give me lots of attention. I promise to return the love. Are you interested in adopting Clyde or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received. Completed applications can be sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org , faxed to 919-300-5524 or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center or Timber Drive next to Home Depot).
