My story

Pixel’s 92 year old owner passed away at Thanksgiving ‘24. He had spent his life in an apartment, trained to pee pads and used to caregivers taking him out for walks and potty breaks. then he was placed in a very busy foster home with a lot of energy and a lot of dogs… And he has completely loved all of the opportunity to run around and play with the other dogs!! Looking for a home that has another playful dog for him, he absolutely loves having dog company. He walks nice on a leash and loves a lot of petting and sleeping on the bed beside you. His house manners are perfect even without ouppy pads down! He can navigate the stairs just fine and has had a full vet exam and comprehensive blood panel done that showed no health complications. He is very overweight, but gradually losing weight with more exercise with the other dogs. He is happy to play and chase toys and fetch them and bring them back to you. He cannot see as well as a younger dog, so he can be a little bit snappy if he doesn’t understand where your hand is going— Which is why kids are not recommended. He absolutely loves his stuffed animals, and literally came with a carload of toys when he was dropped off. This guy has a lot of life and love yet to give! Email irondawgs13@gmail.com for adoption application

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pixel, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
