My story

Poppie Breed: Chihuahua mix Gender: Female, spayed DOB: 11-15-2023 Weight: ~ 8 pounds Microchipped Adoption Fee: $350 Are you seeking an active partner for walks, hikes, and hanging out at the nearby brewery? Poppie may be your girl! She's active and eager to please! She loves going for walks, has enjoyed going to the beach, and has been on a few hikes in area parks! She might be a good candidate for K9 Parkour! Poppie has done great in her foster home, likes other dogs, has met a cat and didn't get into trouble, and has met lots of new people! She's a fun little girl who is just searching for the right place to call home! Good w/ Other Dogs- Yes Good w/ Cats- Yes Energy Level- Moderate to high Children- Teens Grooming Needs- Low Walks on Leash- Yes Special Needs- No Knows basic commands- Some Experienced Home- Required Good First Time Dog- Prefer experience Rides well in car- Yes Crate Trained- Yes Low Allergen- No Good apartment dog- Possibly Fenced Yard- Preferred Adoptive homes within the Raleigh, NC area preferred. All HEART dogs have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated for rabies, kennel cough, distemper, parvo, adenovirus, and hepatitis. All dogs over the age of six months are tested for heartworms and, if they test positive, have either been treated or provided alternative slow-kill treatment. Dogs are provided monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Dogs are also provided additional medical care, as needed. This care may include amputations, wound repair, treatment for skin disorders, dental care, treatment for infection and other medical needs. January 8, 2025, 3:38 pm
