My story

Meet Sadie, a gorgeous 4 year old spayed female hound mix, weighing about 40 lbs! This long legged girl looks like she may have some greyhound or whippet in her.   Sadie is a sweet girl who can be a bit timid at first, but she warms up quickly.  She is good with other dogs (she was fostered in TN with 3 other dogs and she got along well with all of them), people, and kids. She also does well with dog savvy cats. Sadie loves going in the yard and playing, and then snuggling on the couch for a nap. She is a big time snuggle bug!  Sadie is always ready to hop in the car for an adventure - especially if it's somewhere that she can run around with other pups! She's eager to play with other dogs - whether she's doing the chasing or being chased, she loves it all! She is still learning to read signals from other dogs but she is ready to love everyone. Sadie is ready to meet you and steal your heart! Sadie is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained (although she'd love to be out of the crate with her people). As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
