My story

Meet Canelo, a one-year-old Australian Kelpie/Shepherd mix weighing around 50 pounds. Canelo is a friendly boy who is a great medium size. He is at a fantastic age to start his training and will be like a sponge soaking up all of the info. He gets very excited when he sees dogs on leash, but seems like he just really wants to play with them. We confirmed this when we let him outside with another dog we have and they had a heyday playing! His finder said he rode well in their car but recommended he goes to a home with no cats as he likes to chase them. This enthusiastic boy can`t wait to go on walks and would love to go on hikes if that is something you are interested in, if not he is cool with running around a backyard instead. He knows the command `sit` and is working on `off` since he does still jump up, but once he gets his wiggles out he is such a good boy. Canelo is going to be so much fun for someone. This pet is available for adoption on 1/7/2025 at 4:01 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
