🐾 Meet Sandy – Your New Best Friend! 🐾 Hi, I'm Sandy! Life hasn't always been easy, but I'm ready for a fresh start. After losing my beloved guardian, I came to High Country Humane with my doggy pals. I’m currently thriving in a loving foster home, soaking up sunshine and gaining confidence, and now I'm ready to find my forever family! I’m a sweet and goofy girl, with a soft heart and a love for adventures. I get along with everyone – people, other dogs, and even cats – and I’m just waiting for someone to share my joy with. Why You'll Love Me: ✔ I’m super friendly with new people and other dogs—seriously, I love making new pup pals! ✔ I’m good with cats, too—no issues here! ✔ I’m totally house-trained—no accidents, no issues at all. ✔ I’m a sun-chaser—being outside is one of my favorite things! ✔ I’ve got a goofy side—clumsy, curious, and always finding ways to make my foster laugh. ✔ I’m food-motivated, so I’m learning new commands quickly and eager to please! I already know "sit," "down," and I'm working on "stay" and "come." ✔ I’m super affectionate—I’ll nuzzle you and lean in for face rubs, even though I’m not a huge cuddler (yet!). ✔ I’m getting used to crates—while I don’t love being in one, I’m good once I’m settled in. ✔ I’m gentle with kids, though I might knock them over just from being excited! A Few Things to Know About Me: 🐾 No separation anxiety here! I’m pretty chill, even when you leave me for a bit. 🐾 I’ve never shown any aggression, even around food or toys. 🐾 I might sneak out of a front door if given the chance, but I come back quickly and calmly—especially if there’s a treat involved! 🐾 I’m best suited for a home with a confident dog, a secure collar for walks, and a dog door would be my dream. Sandy is thriving in a structured home with lots of love. She’s come so far from being shy and uncertain to becoming playful, social, and full of joy.
