My story

Here's what Juniper's Foster Caregiver had to say: "She’s a silly, goofy girl who loves her snacks—truly, even a piece of lettuce! She’ll munch on celery, carrots, broccoli, and more! She’ll do anything for a treat, but make sure you say gentle so that she remembers that your fingers are holding that treat. Breakfast and dinner are her favorite parts of the day. Just ask her if she’s hungry, and she’ll run to her house and awooo at you to hurry up and get her food. She’ll sit at the door to tell you she wants to go outside to potty, but most of the time it’s just to roll in the grass and sunbathe. She is a strong chewer; she ate a large bully stick in just 15 minutes! She likes to chew on stuffies and slowly destuff them, but don’t worry, she won’t eat the stuffing! She loves her bed in her crate and will cry without it, but make sure you leave a safe toy for her to chew on; otherwise, she might just unstuff her bed! I like my zoomies in the yard, and I love to snuggle on the couch. She loves to go on adventures; she’ll sit in the trunk and look out the big window. She loves adventures so much that she will try to escape when the front door opens, so a watchful eye is needed whenever doors are opening. A good-fitting harness with an attachment to a martingale collar is a good idea in case I try to slip out of my harness. Juniper is the sweetest little nugget, but she is still timid when meeting new people for the first time. However, as soon as she knows she is safe, she becomes her goofy, loving self! She knows commands like sit, wait, stay, bed, and house, but when there’s no treat to be had, she might take a little longer to follow through. She is learning to wait patiently on her bed until we are finished eating. But don’t forget to put your food away when you’re done because she is an equal opportunity snacker! This little nugget is ready to find her forever family that will give her snacks, cuddles, and laugh at her silly shenanigans!" Juniper is recovering from heartworms and only has a final test left before being officially clear! She is ready for adoption! I am currently in a foster home and not at HSNBA, if you are interested in meeting me, please contact the nice folks at HSNBA so they can put you in contact with my foster family to set up a meet & greet. E-mail HSNBA at adoption@hsnba.org, call us at: (830) 629-5287 or stop by and speak with the folks at HSNBA at 3353 Morningside Dr. to get your information sent over to my foster home. My foster family is the best and can give you more information on me.HSNBA lists all animals online from the moment of intake, and our listings are updated automatically every midnight. Some of these animals may not be available for adoption at this moment, but you can always call the shelter at 830-629-5287 for clarification on the adoption process or the animal's current status.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Juniper, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
