Acorn

My story

Acorn is a 3-year-old, medium sized Catahoula Leopard mixed breed. He is super sweet! He LOVES children, he lights up when they are around. He does very well with most dogs and was introduced to a cat and did well. In time I believe he could be friends with cats. He and our dog are good friends. Acorn had a tough past and is initially afraid of men, however, once he becomes your friend, he is loyal forever. He makes the cutest little grunting noises; he gives lots of kisses and he is a cuddle bug. He will let you be the big spoon, every morning he crawls up and lays his head on my chest and stares at me with beautiful kind eyes. He is a herding breed, so you want to keep him close when runners, scooters, bikes, etc. go by, he just can’t resist the temptation to herd them. He tends to be nervous, but once he is comfortable, he settles right down and is amazing. He is potty trained, kennel trained and thrives with a daily walk, even if it is a short one. He would most likely do his best if he were gradually left alone for longer periods of time, at least until he settles in. He feeds off his humans’ energy. You stay calm and he does too. He has been introduced to lots of people, he likes an occasional car ride, he has gone camping with us and did great. He is always ready and willing to show you his unconditional love. He is going to make someone the best companion. Don’t miss out on this sweet, fun and amazing pup!
