My story

Hello, my name is: ViolaDOB: 12/03/2020Sex/Breed: Spayed female Pittie Princess Weight: 54.2 lbsRescued From: ACCT in PhiladelphiaDiscovered wandering alone on the streets of Philadelphia, Viola was in desperate need of a savior. She managed to survive until she was rescued and taken to a shelter. Although she found warmth within the four walls of her kennel, her safety was still not guaranteed. She was shy, but remained sweet and gentle for nearly 4 weeks. Countless people walked past her kennel, deciding not to give her a chance. Maybe it was her size, or her breed, or the fact her ears had been cropped. She waited and waited, hoping someone would stop, open the kennel door, and give her a chance. As the shelter continued to fill, the time she had left was diminishing. Viola was set to be euthanized the morning we met her due to length of stay and need for space for incoming dogs. We could not leave without her the moment we laid eyes on her, so into the truck she went. Her foster family immediately went to work showing her the love she deserves. Viola has been nothing but sweet despite everything she’s been through. She is curious, affectionate, and a lover of the simple things. She enjoys playing with all types of toys and snuggling with her people. Viola gets along with other dogs that have her playstyle and loves every person she meets. She`ll need a home without kitties, though. In a pittie-loving home, we have no doubt she’ll flourish and become the loved and gracious companion she deserves to be. We don’t know anything about Viola’s past, but we have no doubt she deserved more. We have promised her nothing but the best from here on out.
