My story

From his foster: King was excellent in the home! Very well potty trained, able to hold it overnight and for extended periods of time with us out of the house. Never left a mess either. He was very kind and gentle with small children, letting them put him all over, they were small children, so they did pull on his ears and lips, but he didn’t show any signs of aggression despite rough play with the kids! Extremely cuddly, listened well to sit, stay, and come commands, and very rarely barked. He was pretty good on the leash, he only pulled a bit when runners went past us and when he saw squirrels dart across his path. He is quite a large and strong dog so his handlers must know that in advance to prepare themselves! There were some incidents with other dogs where we did not feel comfortable letting him off his leash in a public setting because he would growl and occasionally snap at them, unfortunately. He seems to be protective of his handlers.Overall, he is an incredibly sweet and calm dog with so much love to give. We just aren’t in a position to take in a dog full time right now because we don’t have a yard for him and we have to travel a lot for work, but I hope to maybe see him again! I have attached a few photos from our time together, I hope that he finds a good home!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt KING, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
