My story

There is an adorable video of me on social media! Click here to experience the cuteness! There is an adorable video of me on Instagram! Click here to experience the cuteness! There is an adorable video of me on TikTok! Click here to experience the cuteness! What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles!I don't always like to share my food, toys or bedding with other animals.I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.My #BoroughBreak Buddy Writes: Adopt Swirly Pop (ID 208965) from The Animal Care Center of Manhattan! Today we took Swirly Pop and he is such a delight. From the moment we saw him, he was strutting his stuff right out of the shelter. He kicks his legs out in front of him like the most proud show dog you've ever seen! He was enthusiastic to walk with us and we headed to Central Park. We learned he loves beef liver, doesn't love milk bones and he takes treats gently with a soft mouth. He was happy to see other dogs and generally ignored them or kept a wiggly body upon passing them. He loves to chase birds and run around in the grass. He grew attached to us in our time together and us to him. He needs a home willing to exercise him daily and keep working on basic training commands! He already knows sit so he is a little ahead of the game. He patiently sat with us at a cafe while we drank coffee, as well. Swirly Pop is a really good boy who is ready to softly land with you and your family. We absolutely adored our time with him and found it super difficult to part ways. Adopt Swirly Pop from the Manhattan ACC ❤️A Volunteer Wrote: We wish we could sneak Swirly Pops into our house without our own less-than-welcoming dogs noticing, because we don't want to live a minute without him. Not that he'd mind our dogs--in the shelter, he has greeted other dogs off leash with "bouncy play." He's one of the sweetest pups we've ever met: He continuously licks hands and arms while lying in laps, and while he took treats with a little force when he first arrived, he now takes them as gently as a bunny rabbit. He keeps his crate immaculate even when it's seven hours between walks; he's a dream on a leash, and he's got the perfect amount of energy where he's happy to chase after a ball but also more than delighted just to chill on your lap and snuggle. He was a little possessive of his toys when he first arrived, but we would eagerly buy him dozens of his own to make him happy. Swirly Pops is a heartbreaker of a dog who will make your heart triple in size ❤️ Primary Color: Brown Brindle Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 46.5 Age: 1yrs 8mths 1wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Swirly Pops, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
