My story

Basil is a 1-year-old black Pit Bull mix with a heart full of love and a tail that’s always wagging! Basil would thrive in a home where she can be the only dog, although she LOVES playing with other pups during playdates – she has a blast when she gets to run and zoom around the pen with friends in a playgroup. This energetic girl is a fan of toys, especially her stuffies, and can often be found happily running around with one in her mouth, tossing it around and playing. When it’s time to wind down, Basil is sweet, cuddly, and ready to snuggle up with her people. She greets her friends – human and dogs alike – with happy jumps, a wagging tail, and sweet kisses. Basil is crate trained and house trained, and with the right environment, she’ll continue to grow into the loving and fun dog she’s meant to be. Could you be the one to give Basil her forever home? Basil is an All-Star dog, and her adoption appointment includes a discussion with the training team, as well as a few enrichment goodies to help get you both off to a good start. Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
