Mallomar Mindy

My story

Super-affectionate, Lap Cat, Chill Mallomar Mindy is an elegant all-black kitty with just a whisper of white tufts in her ears. She was a bit shy when she first came to her foster, but she’s warming up quickly and already wants to spend hours in his lap grooming herself, making biscuits, and reveling in tummy rubs! She’s very quiet and mostly lounges around during the day. But, now that she's settling into her foster home, she is becoming increasingly playful. She loves her new wand toy and enthusiastically jumps in bed with her foster when she's ready to cuddle. Her foster can tell she gets the zoomies at night because by morning the cat tunnel has managed to move all around! Mindy is super clean, very tidy and so easy to take care of. She isn't vocal, but will speak up when she wants attention! While she’s very affectionate, she’s not needy. But, she's ready for loving when you are. Her shyness may occasionally cause her to hiss if she’s startled, but she quickly calms down when she realizes that she’s safe with you. The ideal home for Mindy would be a low-energy household with older kids and adults. If you’re home all day, you’ll have a faithful lap buddy. Mindy has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. She can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.
