My story

Hi, I’m Dreko—a one-year-old, 49-pound pup with the looks of a model and the heart of a gentle soul just learning to trust.I’ll be honest—new places and fast moves can make me a little nervous. I take my time warming up, and I really appreciate people who are calm, patient, and willing to let me move at my own pace. Once I feel safe, though? That’s when the real me starts to shine.I’ve been getting braver every day here. At first, I wasn’t quite sure about this whole “playtime” thing, but then I met a few polite, easygoing dog friends who showed me how fun it can be to run, bow, and zoom around the yard. Now I enjoy hanging out in playgroups and even initiate play sometimes! I stay relaxed and loose when I have the right company, and I might enjoy having a canine friend in my future home!People are growing on me, too. I’ve started approaching for affection, and once I know you’re kind, I’ll happily lean in for head pets and give soft little hugs. I’ve even started enjoying brushing sessions—who knew self-care could feel so good?I’m also pretty great on leash, know how to sit, and may already be potty trained. I’ve gone on jogs, played with toys, and explored new places like a total champ. I’m kind of a big puppy at heart—gentle, goofy, and surprisingly well-behaved once I’m comfortable.What I’d love most is a quiet, loving home (or foster!) with someone who understands that trust takes time. I may be reserved at first, but if you give me a little patience, I promise I’ll reward you with loyalty, sweetness, and maybe even a few zoomies.Looking for a gentle soul with a heart full of potential?
