My story

Please contact Courtney Nobles (courtneyn@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.a four leaf clover ready to bring you luck! CLOVERLEAF NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!! Come meet Cloverleaf and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (05/25) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Silver Spring, MD (12020 Cherry Hill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904)!   Name: Cloverleaf       Best Guess for Breed: Lab mix  Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of October 2024       Gender:  Female Approximate Weight:  65 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids but she can be tested. We do not recommend her for a home with cats. Currently Living At: DC area foster home Cloverleaf is Looking For: A family who will love an independent spirit! She landed in the shelter through no fault of her own and is oh so eager to once again have her own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. She's pretty young, just about a year old, and is eager to see and experience the world! To explore all the toys! To go to dog school to learn to be the bestest girl! And to make new pup and people pals along the way! What she wants most of all, though, is to love and be loved, to know where she belongs, to know she's under her own roof every time the sun goes down. In exchange she promises adoring gazes and happy tail wags and snuggles and loyal companionship. What do you say? Is Cloverleaf the companion you have been seeking? What My Foster Says About Me: Cloverleaf is such a sweetheart and is a perfect houseguest. She is super food motivated and loves to show off how well she can sit. As soon as she figures out someone has treats, she sits and stares intently to remind you that she is very talented and deserves to be rewarded as such. She's the perfect combo of energy to play fetch with her favorite toy (tennis balls) but is also happy to sit on the couch for love! She walked really well on a leash (as long as those squirrels didn't taunt her) and even went on a trip into CVS where she was the perfect customer. Inside the apartment, she only chewed on the toys and left everything else alone. Cloverleaf has SO much love to give and is ready to be in her forever home.  Medical: Cloverleaf has completed the heartworm treatment and activity restriction period, and is awaiting her 6-month follow up test! This pup is part of a groundbreaking study we are conducting at our South Carolina Rescue Campus that has the potential to change the way shelters across the United States treat heartworm positive dogs.  All dogs in the study are placed at random in either the 2 shot or 3 shot protocol with strictly monitored protocols in place. Four weeks following their final injection, the pups are eligible to transport to the DC area for placement in foster or adoptive care.  After treatment concludes, we work with adopters to arrange a free follow up heartworm test after 6 months, followed by a second test at 9 months.    Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.  Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life! Please visit us online at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.  BE A FOSTER!!! Fosters make it possible for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue to save and care for homeless and abandoned dogs!  To learn about fostering, please contact fostering@luckydoganimalrescue.org! BE A SPONSOR!!!! Sponsors help Lucky Dog support the many dogs we save.  To learn more about sponsorship, please contact info@luckydoganimalrescue.org. May 23, 2025, 5:04 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cloverleaf, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
