My story

Waymo is the perfect mix of old soul and playful pup—wise beyond his years but still full of charm and curiosity. Rescued from euthanasia at an overcrowded shelter, he’s now thriving in foster care and showing just how special he is. This distinguished gentleman is about 2 years old, a medium-sized pit / cane corso mix (around 65 lbs), medium energy / easy going. Approx 70% couch potato, 30% adventure buddy. His ideal day? Curled up at your feet while you work from home, heading out for a couple of leisurely walks (where he’ll proudly carry a stick), and ending the evening snuggled up on the couch as your personal weighted blanket. He’s an “up for whatever” kind of guy—coffee shops, city strolls, camping trips, or just a cozy night in—he’s happiest as long as he’s by your side. His foster mom takes him everywhere and says he even aced a visit to an art gallery with lots of breakable things. Waymo is food-motivated, smart, and eager to please. He’s potty-trained, great on leash, and can entertain himself with toys when needed. But more than anything, he’s focused on his people. A gentle, affectionate soul, he thrives in a home where someone is around often. He currently lives with two dogs in foster care and gets along great with them, but he’s most focused on his humans and doesn’t need canine siblings to feel complete. (He’s not a fan of cats, though—no feline friends for this guy.) From his foster: “Waymo is the most loving dog I’ve ever met. His full-body cuddles are the best. He likes to share my pillow and be the little spoon. I take him everywhere with me and he loves meeting all people, dogs, and kids—he’s really the ultimate sidekick! He’s a pretty chill dude. A total catch!” Waymo is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. He’s currently being fostered in Annapolis, MD through Perfectly Paired Pitties. If you’re looking for a loyal & affectionate sidekick, Waymo is your guy. Apply to meet him today!
