My story

Hi, I’m Grover — your future best friend and professional wasp hunter.I’m a relaxed, gentle soul who’s just as happy going on adventures as I am curling up for a nap. Car rides? Love ’em. I’ll sniff the breeze, sneak you a sweet kiss, and never once ask “are we there yet?” I’ve tried Starbucks pup cups, McDonald’s cheeseburgers, and long walks at San Gabriel Park — I’m basically a certified good boy on tour.My human friends say I’m “as close to a perfect dog as you can get.” I don’t pull on leash, I’m calm in my kennel, gentle with treats, and oh — I’m totally housetrained, according to some of these pawsome folks who`ve I`ve taken out for buddy-time adventures. I’ve hung out with kids, cats, and other dogs and handled it all like a pro. I match your pace on walks, adjust to your vibe at home, and even take squirrel-chasing seriously (hey, I have goals).Once I trust you, I’m all in — cuddles, nap buddies, backyard lounging, the whole deal. And yes, I really did eat a wasp once to protect a baby. That’s just the kind of guy I am.If you’re looking for a laid-back buddy with a heart of gold, a goofy smile, and just a touch of judgmental side-eye, I’m your dog. Let’s start our happily-ever-after.Love,Grover~~~~~The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon until 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours, giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time.
