My story

*** To alleviate the need to bring an animal into the shelter environment, The Anti-Cruelty Society has the Home-to-Home Shelter Bypass service to help people find new accommodations for their pets privately. These animals are not located in any of the Society`s physical locations. If you are interested in adopting this animal, please do NOT click the Adopt Me button and instead reach out to the current owner directly via the email provided in the profile. As this is a Home-to-Home animal you are not required to fill out an Anti-Cruelty Society adoption application form. *** If you are looking for a perfect combination of sugarplums and spice, I’ve got her, and she desperately needs a home. Minnie-Moo is the perfect pocket pity at a petite 30 lb. Like the tiny Hereford cow she is named for, I found this brown beauty was found wandering the streets. With rescues full, she joined my motley crew of foundling fosters. Minnie has excelled in a foster home with other rough and tumble dogs twice her size. She would do well in a home with a second secure dog that can continue to show her the ropes. She is about a year old and in need of confidence building. She also loves to play keep away with herself and is a runner with high prey drive, so off leash parks are not an option. While she is dog social, proper introductions are best and she is leash reactive when she sees other dogs. This reflects her lack of confidence and early socialization. But she loves to learn and is highly trainable. A home with a yard would be ideal and she would do best with older kids given her strength on the lead. My friend has helped me foster Minnie while we owner-searched and sought a rescue to take her. But my friend’s visa is about to expire, so Minnie must find a home soon. If you know anyone who needs a pint size pixie made of chili flakes and chocolate, please share! Minnie is adoptable for a fee that will be donated to a dog rescue. I’ve made sure she is fully vaccinated, spayed, micro-chipped and crate trained. Located in Chicago but am willing to drive her to the right adopter! For adoption information, please email meghan.a.iverson@gmail.com

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Minnie Moo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
