Meet Maya — a captivating companion with a heart of gold. With her stunning gray, brown, and white coat and striking green eyes, Maya is as beautiful on the outside as she is loving on the inside. This confident senior lady has a warm, affectionate spirit and a talent for making herself right at home — whether that means curling up on your lap, claiming the coziest blanket in the house, or chatting sweetly about her day. Maya’s journey to finding love began when she boldly chose her first family — following her person home and settling in on their porch, determined to be part of something special. After many cherished years in a loving home, Maya was recently surrendered due to changes in her owner's circumstances. Now, she’s ready to begin her next chapter with someone who will value her loyalty and quiet strength. While Maya has traditionally preferred the company of people over pets, she’s surprised everyone in foster care by enjoying the companionship and playtime of her fellow foster kitty, Minou. The two share a sweet, respectful bond — proof that Maya is open to connection when the energy feels just right. She also coexists peacefully with calm dogs and other laid-back animals who give her space. Maya is thriving on a wet food diet and takes daily medication for hyperthyroidism like a pro. With just two teeth left, she manages just fine — and never misses a meal. Her days are filled with the simple joys: lounging in the sun, rolling on her favorite scratcher, and soaking in the love of her favorite humans.
