My story

Oh Alfalfa... how do we describe this big goober!? His smiling grin and cheeky personality basically shines through the photos, in our opinion! Alfie is the chronic 3rd wheel who wants a relationship all of his own! He is desperate to find a place to call "home," and a family to call "his." He is tired of being thought-of only second to another, and when plans get cancelled on him, boy does he let you know! In all seriousness, Alfalfa is a great dog. He longs for a person or family who will love him and give him the attention he seeks. He can be an "everywhere dog," if you're willing to do some basic training and obedience with him (and he could use some help learning his name LOL). He loves the water hose and would probably be thrilled with a home that has a pool or takes regular adventures to the lake or river (neither of which are requirements to adopt Alfie!). He is super great with kiddos and has played well with other dogs, on multiple occasions. Alfie may not always be the brightest tool in the shed, but his energy and love shines the brightest of them all. He has been waiting for a forever family of his own for more than a year, and we're devastated he is still with us, when he deserves a family and home to spoil and love him instead. Alfalfa is a part of our 2024 Pitmas Campaign, which means his adoption fee is sponsored AND he comes with a large "start kit," of sorts, with all kinds of treats and toys and training materials!
