My story

Meet Tanya, a truly special senior dog with a heart of gold. During a recent outing, Tanya proved to be one of the most affectionate, sweet dogs - she`ll lovingly lean against you and bury her head in your chest, seeking comfort and connection. Tanya is a model walker who never pulls, making her a joy to take on a stroll. While she may be a bit wary of unfamiliar, unfriendly dogs, she responds well to gentle corrections and quickly regains her composure. Her intelligence and calm demeanor shine through, proving she`ll make a wonderful companion. Tanya is ready for a loving new home where she can continue to share her warmth and affection. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle friend, come meet Tanya—she’s sure to win your heart as she did ours.~~~~~The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon until 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilco.org. Interested in fostering a dog in need? You can take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours, giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time.
